Uses of asbestos

One of the most uses common uses for asbestos has been fire proofing material. Fireproofing was used in the construction of multi-storied building. The fireproofing was sprayed on columns and steel beams to prevent the structures for from warping or collapsing in the event of  fire.

Asbestos can be found in variety of building material such as concrete and concrete- like products that can be used to make siding, roof shingles and as wallboard. Asbestos can also be found in vinyl and asphalt to be used in production of roofing felts and floor tile.
